Evaluations by Current or Former College Coaches
I’ve had Mason in a few camps now and he has gotten bigger, more aggressive and is playing at a much higher level on the defensive end since his Jr Season. Mason is at his best attacking the paint and shooting over the top of the defender, or finishing in transition. Scholarship level athlete with all the tools you look for in a young prospect that has room to grow. Active rebounder from the wing position at 6'5 that can defend multiple positions with length and athleticism it takes. If you switch screens he would be a good fit. He is under the radar heading into the stretch run due to battling injuries the first semester that kept him out most of the Fall. Mason is now back to 100% and starting to put up big numbers for the 6-0 District leading Brentwood Christian Academy. I think a JC option would be best with his upside and the injuries to get him to his highest potential levels (NCAA D2)
*Projected Levels: D3-D2-D1 JUCO (He will be best served
going the JC Route) If he goes JC Mason will have several NCAA D2 options after 2 years with the progress he has made.
